Abstract: Information privacy is a critical part of an information governance (IG) program. As privacy regulations continue to emerge, organizations need to have an organized and intentional approach to address privacy matters. Our speaker will cover privacy program management strategy, setting up a program, and operating a privacy program. He will also educate on how to incorporate privacy program management into an IG program.

Speaker Bio: Andrew Ysasi, MS, FIP, FIIM, CIPM, CIGO, CISM, PMP, CRM, IGP, CIP, CSAP has twenty-five years of experience in executive leadership, technology, privacy, security, and IG. As Vice President of Advocacy for Vital Records Control, he is tasked with mentoring, educating, volunteering, and advocating for all matters related to IG. Andrew is an instructor at San Jose State University’s School of Information, a contributor to ARMA’s IGBOK, a contributor to Wiley’s Information Governance, 2nd ed., a former board member of i-SIGMA, and a volunteer for the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) since 2012. He was voted President-Elect in 2020 for the ICRM. Andrew has an MS from Central Michigan University, a BS in information technology, and a certificate in data analytics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
