Abstract: This session will help Information Governance and Records & Information Management (IG/RIM) professionals navigate the rapidly evolving U.S. privacy landscape. Senior VP of Forrest Solutions Legal Services, Joe Pirrotta, will provide an overview of the relevant state, federal, and international privacy regulations, along with current legislation including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, and explore privacy scenarios and their relationship to IG/RIM. Joe will also walk through the privacy implications of scenarios such as data subject access requests and cybersecurity incidents and explain how IG/RIM professionals can help control the risks and the costs of responding to these events. 

Speaker Bio: Joe Pirrotta is Senior Vice President of Forrest Solutions Legal Services, where he assists clients on issues related to the intersection of data privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border litigation. Joe regularly speaks, writes, and shares his insights on leveraging big data analytics and artificial intelligence to transform the practice of law. Joe earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and previously served as head of Conduent's legal product portfolio and Vice President of Integreon's onshore managed document review service. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
