Sustainability: How to Make a Difference

Wednesday, September 29, 2021
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Abstract: Organizations, public and private, are giving increased attention to ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance). Many have pledged to achieve a net-neutral carbon emissions goal by 2040, or sooner. Most are making conscious efforts to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion through hiring practices and supporting ERGs. The Covid 19 pandemic has shown a light on decisions made with privacy and ethics in mind. All of these efforts require reporting to authorities, shareholders, and others to demonstrate progress - that means information management professionals must be included in the authentication, production, retention, and mapping of the relevant data and records.

In this session, our speaker will share insights on how to get involved in the critical ESG reporting movement and how you can make a difference in achieving ESG goals.

Speaker Bio: Sue Trombley, MLIS, FAI, is Managing Director of Thought Leadership at Iron Mountain. Sue led Iron Mountain’s Information Management Consulting group for ten years, managing a team of subject matter experts and running large engagements. She now conducts research to share with the information management community at large by hosting webinars, blogging, and speaking at association events.
