Inserting Empathy into the Information Governance Requirements Checklist

November 18, 2020
12:00 – 1:00 EST

The majority of us in the Information Governance / Information Management space are truly masters of our trades when it comes to the technical, design, and operational aspects of implementing a new program or instituting a new process within our organizations. Rolling out a new project brings out the best in us as we are challenged to bring our “A Game” for the benefit of the organization.  We love learning new technologies, championing new processes, being on the “bleeding edge” and trail-blazing new industry standards … it’s in our DNA.

However – for those within our teams/organizations who don’t share our affinity for tackling new technology endeavors – we need to be more self-aware in recognizing when our passion for implementing change is perhaps terrifying to others with whom we have to interact.  How can we – as project champions – add “Empathy” as a line item to be addressed within the Information Governance Requirements Checklist to ensure a more successful project outcome for everyone within our organizations?

Speaker: Ann Gorr is a legal technology consultant/advisor, information governance strategist, subject matter expert, and avid technology evangelist. With over twenty-five years of experience, she is truly “fluent in legal technology” and recognized for the development and execution of innovative Legal IT strategies for her law firm and corporate legal clients in the Information Governance / Enterprise Content Management and Compliance arenas. She has the ability to translate technical information into practical/concise concepts, to find simplicity in complexity, to execute change management, and to bring about consensus with technology projects by reducing issues to manageable solutions.
